FINANCIAL ADVISORY BOARD
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
Wednesday, July 14, 1999 2:00 P.M.
Chairman Felix R. Goldenson called the Regular Meeting to order in
Commission Chambers at 2:00 P.M.
Deputy Town Clerk Jane Dillon called the roll. Present were
Chairman Goldenson, Members Charles D. Cohn, Marianne Salibello and
Byron McKinley. Vice Chairman John DeMarco was absent.
Mayor Reid and Finance Director Stan Novak were present as well.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Upon MOTION by MR. COHN/MR. MCKINLEY, the minutes of the April 15,
1999 Quarterly Meeting and the June 9, 1999 Special Meeting were
unanimously approved.
OLD BUSINESS
SECOND REVIEW 1999/2000 PROPOSED BUDGET
There was further discussion of subject budget, with Mr. Novak
• noting any additional changes. After questions were discussed and
answered, the following MOTION was made by MR. MCKINLEY/MR. COHN:
THE FINANCIAL ADVISORY BOARD RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE
1999/2000 PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR EXPENDITURE BUDGET, AND
THAT THE TOWN COMMISSION ACCEPT THE BUDGET AS SUBMITTED.
MOTION met with unanimous vote
NEW BUSINESS
After discussion of the Millage calculations, and all questions
were answered, the following MOTION was made by MR. MCKINLEY/
MS. SALIBELLO:
THE FINANCIAL ADVISORY BOARD RECOMMENDS THAT THE MILLAGE
REMAIN AT THE PRESENT RATE OF 4.0000, WITH THE GENERAL
OPERATING EXPENSE AT 3.7626 AND DEPT SERVICE AT 0.2374.
A memo will be distributed to the Town Commission stating
recommendation of approval of budget and millage.
OTHER BUSINESS
The Board discussed the June Financial Statement, its revenue and
• expenses. Mr. Novak recommended that the Board discuss the Town's
investments at it's October Quarterly Meeting.
