TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH
FINANCIAL ADVISORY BOARD
SPECIAL MEETING - MINUTES
Thursday, June 6, 1991 9:35 A.M.
Chairman S. Myron Browner called this Special Meeting to order in Com-
mission Chambers at 9:35 A.M., stating its purpose was to hear presen-
tations from three investment firms regarding possible alternatives to
the Town's participation in the State Pooled Fund.
Deputy Town Clerk Doris Trinley called the roll. Present were the
Chairman, Vice Chairman Victor P. Hadeed and Regular Members Richard
Brunton, Fred Firstenburg and Dennie Freeman.
Also present were Commissioner John F. Rand, Town Manager Mary Ann
Mariano and Finance Director Michael Seaman.
Financial Advisory Board Talent Bank Applicants Arthur Hamerman and
Eugene Behrman and members of the general public observed.
Investment presentations were given by the following, one at a time,
with the others not being in attendance:
1) RAYMOND JAMES...presentation by Edward I. Guthmann, Vice Presi-
dent/Manager and Terry J. Metzger, First Vice
President/Assistant Manager, both Boca Raton.
2) BARNETT BANK.... presentation by Susan C. Friloux, Assistant
Vice President/Corporate Money Desk (Jackson-
ville) and Raymond C. Lanzi, AVP/Office Mana-
ger (4199 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton).
3) PRUDENTIAL
SECURITIES ...... presentation by Gordon Gannon, Vice President/
Institutional Research Services (New York City)
and Jeannette Markus, Associate Vice President-
Investments/Investment Management Consultant
(Boca Raton).
Each presentation took approximately 30 minutes, including discussions
and questions by the members.
Since each presenter handed out materials to the Board, it was the
members' CONSENSUS that same be studied by them and discussed at a
future meeting.
Mrs. Mariano suggested the members might want to consider inviting a
representative from the State Pooled Fund to appear before the Board to
answer questions and clarify areas of concern regarding the Fund. It
was the CONSENSUS of the members that this would be appropriate and
Mr. Seaman was requested to see if it can be arranged.

There being no further business to come before the Board at this time,
the meeting was adjourned upon MOTION by Mr. Brunton/Mr. Freeman at
11:30 A.M.
NOTE: A COPY OF ALL MATERIALS PRESENTED TO THE MEMBERS BY THE
INDIVIDUAL INVESTMENT FIRMS WILL BE KEPT WITH FINANCIAL
ADVISORY BOARD FILES.
