FINANCIAL ADVISORY BOARD
Minutes of Regular Meeting
Monday, June 29. 1987

M.
A meeting of the Financial Advisory Board was held at 9:30 a.m. on
Monday, June 29, 1987, at Town Hall.
Members present included Grover Ensley and Reese James. Members
Richard Brunton, Benjamin Cohen, and Walter Peklenk were on
vacation. Mayor Betty Jean Stewart and Town Manager Hugh D.
Williams were also present throughout the meeting.
Review of the minutes of the F.A.B. Meeting on June 15, 1987
items of correspondence were deferred to the next F.A.B. Meeti
scheduled for July 6, 1987.
The meeting then proceeded with the agenda items:
-- 1972 G. 0. Bond Issue
Reference is made to the May 26 and June 4, 1987 Minutes of
the F.A.B. Meetings, noting that this meeting (6/29/87) is in
follow-up to prior discussion on this matter. The Town
Manager provided the F.A.B. with a written opinion from Town
Counsel on this matter and with this in hand, the F.A.B. now
concurs in the recommendation of the Finance Director in �er
May 20, 1987 Memo and recommends its approval by the Town
Commission.
1980 Sewer Revenue Sinking Fund Revenue Account
The Town Manager advised that the Town Attorney has not,
yet, furnished a written legal opinion on the question as
the requirements of the Bond Indenture. This matter will
included on the next F.A.B. Agenda.
Police Clerk Position
The Town Manager advised that he has authorized employment
for this position, not withstanding the absence of review
comment by the F.A.B.
Employee Retirement Plan
The Town Manager advised that he has not, as yet, written
Draft #2 of his proposal. This item will be included on t
next F.A.B. Agenda.

-- 1987/88 Budget
The Town Manager reviewed his Memorandum of June 26, 1987 on
this subject, following which it was agreed to schedule
another meeting of the F.A.B. for Monday, July 6, 1987, f r a
more in --depth review of the material.
Long Report
The Town Manager advised that the "Final" Report from Lonc_
Associates had been received, that it was essentially the
same as its May 1987 "Draft Report". Further, that the Fj
Report contained no major or significant changes from the
Draft Report. This matter will be again taken up followir
the completion of the 1987/88 budget.
The meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m. with the next meeting
scheduled for Monday, July 6, 1987, at 9:30 a.m.
