1986.07.28_FAB_Minutes_RegularTOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH, FLORIDA FINANCIAL ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES Monday, July 28, 1986 10:00 A.M. A Meeting of the Financial Advisory Board was held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 1986 at Town Hall. Those attending included members Richard Brunton, Ben Cohen, Walter Peklenk and Reese James. Commissioner Grier and Town Manager Williams were also in attendance throughout the meeting. The Minutes of the July 14, 1986 Meeting were approved as written. The proposed 1986/87 budget was discussed with the following comments and notations: -The Ad Valoren assessed valuation as provided by the County tax Assessor's office will be less than the value for 1985/86. -There remains the question of possible unfunded liability for Delray sewage service due to Delray's insistance on including expenses that were excluded by the Greely & Hanson report. -There is a question on account No. 271 as to whether the amount carried properly represents the item or should the amount be greater than shown. -It was suggested that capital items such as telephones, gas storage tank and others be carried in the capital budget with each department carrying its appropriate share of depreciation for the items. -It was suggested that method for allocating insurance costs be reviewed for a revised method of allocation. Due to the hour, the meeting adjourned with the next meeting being scheduled for 9:30 a.m., Friday, August 1, 1986.
