TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH, FLORIDA
CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD
March 21, 1984 Workshop meeting 9.30 A.M.
Chairman Robert Scholz called the Workshop Meeting to order at 9:30 A.M.
In attendance were: vice -Chairman Robert Myers; Secretary Ellen Gerber;
Alfred Novak, Donald Sherbondy, Theodore Boepple and Andrew Bennardo (alt.)
Mr. John Chironna was absent. Mrs. Roberts, Town Manager; Tony Abbate,
Code Enforcement Officer and Rita Ebersole, Recording Secretary were
also present.
Mrs. Gerber read the minutes of the Workshop meeting of January 18, 1984.
Mr. Scholz read a letter from Tom Sliney dated February 14, 1984
clarifying the question of recreational vehicles and also an opinion
from David Freedman, his associate. Copies of this twenty page report
will be distributed to the Board members.
Tony Abbate advised the Board that the matter of D'Amore and Tomeski
seawalls was completed and inspected. Mr. Scholz read a letter from
Dr. Tomeski in which he suggested that the Town do.periodic inspections
of seawalls and devise a procedure for emergency situations regarding
seawalls.
air. Scholz read a letter to all Chairmen of Boards regarding the use
of Town letterhead stationary. The new policy is that the Town Commission
must approve all correspondence using Town stationary.
Mrs. Roberts stated that the $2,000.00 bond was returned to J. Hackman
(Edgewater) since the historic tree had been pruned and seems to be
in good health.
The Workshop meeting adjourned at 9:5
