Chairman Scholz requested the members continue their discussion on sea-

Chairman Scholz. The Town Commission, in this memorandum, requested
the Code Enforcement Board Members review data concerning the .inspec-

suggestions. Chairman Scholz stated the Code Enforcement Board tries
to enforce the code as set up by the Town Commission.
Building Inspector Tony Abbate addressed the Board Members regarding
this matter and stated seawalls are the responsibility of the owner.
As a courtesy, if requested, the Building Inspector will inspect a
seawall. If the seawall is in need of repair, the inspector writes
a letter requesting the owner correct the condition. If the repair
is not done within the time allowed, the Building Inspector issues a
citation to the owner. The Board Members were advised that an owner
must apply for a permit before repairing a seawall. When repair is
completed, Building Inspector Tony Abbate must inspect same.
