1988.06.15_PB_Minutes_Regular (2)• TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH, FLORIDA PLANNING BOARD PUBLIC HEARING - MINUTES June 15, 1988 1:30 P.M. Chairman Ward called the Public Hearing of the Planning Board, Town of Highland Beach, Florida, to order at 1:30 P.M. in the Con►n►ission Chambers at Town Hall. The Deputy Town Clerk called the roll. Present were Regular Members J. E. Ward, A. Leng, M. A. Waldman and A. R. Keller. Absent were Regular Member A. M. Fox, Jr. and Alternate Member R. M. Gregerson. Also in attendance were Town Attorney T. E. Sliney, Building Official B. Sutherland and Deputy Town Clerk A. M. Kowals. Chairman Ward noted that the Public Hearing was called for the purpose of reviewing proposed revisions to Chapter 30 of the Town Code of Ordinances, entitled "Zoning", Town of Highland Beach, Florida. It was noted that there were no 'members of the public' in attendance at this Public Hearing which had been advertised and posted as required. Chairman Ward made note of the fact that the matter of the proposed restriction of building heights in the Town of Highland Beach had been 40 discussed and reviewed by the members on several occasions at the Planning Board Meetings. As there were no further comments at this time, Chairman Ward called for a MOTION. MR. WALDMAN/MR. KELLER made a MOTION that the Planning Board adopt the proposal to an►end RML-2, Section 4.4 (e) (11) maxin►un► building height of 401; RMM, Section 4.5 (e) (11) maximum building height of 501; RMH, Section 4.6 (e) (11) maxin►un► building height of 601. This is to be included in the Town's Code of Ordinances. A roll call vote resulted as follows: Mrs. Leng 'aye' Mr. Keller 'aye' Mr. Waldman 'aye' Mr. Ward 'aye' It was noted that all of the proposed anendments to Chapter 30 which had been adopted by the Planning Board would be transmitted to the Building Department. The Building Department will submit the recommendations from the Planning Board to the Town Commission for their consideration and possible action. Chairman Ward stated there were eight amendments to Chapter 30 that were adopted by the Planning Board. Mr. Waldman commented that there was no objection voiced to the proposed amendments at this Public Hearing as there were no individuals in the audience at this hearing. • PLANNING BOARD Public Hearing • June 15, 1988 Page 2 of 2 Town Attorney Sliney informed the Planning Board Members that he submitted a revised timetable (which will allow the Town Commission to plan its action) regarding these amendments to Chairman Ward, Mayor Stewart and Town Manager Mariano. As there was no further business to come before the Planning Board at this Public Hearing, MR. KELLER/MR. WALDMAN proposed a MOTION to adjourn. MOTION carried with all favorable votes.
