1984.05.29_PB_Minutes_SpecialPage -1- MINUTES: PLANNING COMMISSION/LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY, TOWN OF HIGHLAND'' BEACH, FLORIDA. MAY 29, 1984. BUILDING PERMIT MORATORIUM EXTENSION. PUBLIC HEARING • Chairman Eugene L. Snyder called the meeting to order advising this was a Public Hearing called by the Planning Commission/Local Planning Agency, Town of Highland Beach, Florida. The recording secretary called the roll. The agenda is attached. Present: R. F. Blosser, W. J. Wernecke, Eugene L. Snyder, Amelie Leng, Alt. #2 Absent: D. R. Rome, I. S. Saunders, M. A. Waldman, Alt. #1 Town Attorney T. E. Sliney introduced Attorney David Freedman, to members of the Commission. Chairman Snyder noted the Public Hearing, with due public notice, was called to order on Tuesday, May 29, 1984, at 9:05 a.m., for the purpose of con- sidering adoption of recommendation to the Town Commission for extension of the existing Building Permit Moratorium. Chairman Snyder called upon the public for comments regarding the extension of the existing Building Permit Moratorium, there were none. Following a general discussion Chairman Snyder called for a motion to re- commend an extension of the present Moratorium. Motion was made as follows, by Mr. Blosser: " I move that we recommend an extension for a period of four (4) months, effective at the expiration of the present Moratorium which is the end of June, and through October 31, 1984." Mr. Wernecke, seconded the motion. Mr. Blosser voted aye, Mr. Wernecke, aye, Mr. Snyder, aye, and Mrs. Leng, aye. Copy of the transmittal letter to the Town Commission, is att- ached. ADJOURNMENT Chairman Snyder noted the next regular meeting of the Planning Commission is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6, 1984, at 9:30 a.m. Mr. Blosser moved to adjourn the Public Hearing, Mr. Wernecke, seconded the motion.
