BEACH, FLORIDA. AUGUST 15, 1984. PUBLIC HEARING SPECIAL
EXCEPTION, "CASUARINA - SALES TRAILER PERMIT"
• Chairman Irving S. Saunders, called the meeting to order advising this
was a Public Hearing, with due public notice, called to examine request
for a Special Exception under Sec. 5.7 of Chapter 30 of the Code of Ord-
inances, Town of Highland Beach, Florida. The recording secretary called
the roll. Copy of the Public notice is attached.
Present: rrving S. Saunders, Chairman. Doris R. Rome,
Vice Chairman.

Chairman Saunders advised members of the Planning Commission that the
request for a Special Exception called for approval for the continued
use of a permit for a sales office for a two (2) year period, starting
from the expiration date of the last permit, issued to the "Casuarina"
project. Mr. Frank Rochelle, representing "Casuarina, a Joint Venture",
spoke of the need for approval for the continued existence of the sales
office, "necessary for purposes of marketing the condominium, it being
impossible to achieve sales of the condominium units without an office."
Following examination of the plans submitted, Mr. Saunders called for
a motion. Mr. Waldman moved to continue the use of the permit for a two
(2) year period, starting from the expiration date of the last permit.
The permit is to be renewed at the end of each six (6) month period. The
fee is one hundred ($100.00) dollars for each renewal. Mr. Blosser
seconded the motion. Mr. Blosser voted aye, Mrs. Rome, aye, Mr. Ward,
aye, Mr. Waldman, aye and Mr. Saunders, aye. Attached is a copy of a
letter addressed to the Town Commission, and the Building Official.
ADJOURNMENT
Mr. Saunders noted there being no further business, a motion to adjourn
the hearing was in order. Mr. Waldman moved to adjourn the Public Hearing
Mr. Ward seconded the motion. Mr. Blosser voted aye, Mr. Ward, aye, Mrs.
Rome, aye, Mr. Waldman, aye and Mr. Saunders, aye.
The Public Hearing was adjourned at 9:30 a.m. A Regular Meeting of the
Planning Comm,sion sr�heduled to immediately follow the Public Hearing.
