MINUTES: PLANNING COMMISSION/LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY, TOWN OF HIGHLAND
BEACH, FLORIDA. SEPTEMBER 14, 1983. BOCA HIGHLAND NORTH
GATE. WORKSHOP MEETING.
• Chairman Eugene L. Snyder called the meeting to order at 9:31 a.m., ad-
vising this was a Workshop meeting of the Planning Commission/Local Plan-
ning Agency, of the Town of Highland Beach, Florida. The recording sec-
retary called the roll. The agenda is attached.
Present: R. F. Blosser, W. J. Wernecke, I. S. Saunders,
D. R. Rome and E. L. Snyder
Absent: Dr. E. A. Tomeski, Alt.
MINUTES
Chairman Snyder noted the first order of business to be approval
minutes of the meeting held on July 6, 1983. Mr. Wernecke moved
prove the minutes as read, Mr. Saunders seconded the motion. Mr.

Mr. T. L. Delaney, Boca Highland Vice President, introduced the following
representatives of Boca Hi to the Planning Commission - Mr. John Glyman,
ISof Post, Buckley, Schuh & Jernigan, Inc.; Mr. Rick Schmidt, Architect,
representing Schweizer Associates, Inc., Mr. Robert Murphy, and Mr. Post
Buckley.
Mr. Glyman noted that an Ad Hoc Committee had been formed and had met with
one member from the Planning Commission; the Community Appearance Board;
a member of the Town Commission and three residents from the Boca Hi de-
velopment. The purpose of the Ad Hoc Committee was to guide or assist in
planning the remaining vacant undeveloped Boca Hi parcels, Mr. Glyman
said. Chairman Snyder advised Mr. Glyman that any future Ad Hoc Committee
meetings scheduled by Boca Hi must be held in the Highland Beach Town Hall.;
Chambers. Notice of meetings must be submitted to the Planning Commission
in order to ensure sufficient time for notification to all Planning members
regarding the date and time the meeting is to be held.
Chairman Snyder indicated the Planning Commission would hear the represen-
tative for Schweizer Associates, Mr. Rick Schmidt with a presentation of
a revised plan for the proposed North Entry Guard House at Boca Highland.
Mr. Schmidt advised that the landscape, groundwork and sign have been
approved by the Community Appearance Board.
Following examination of plans submitted, members agreed to meet at the site
of the North Entry to Braemar Isle, on Thursday, September 15, 1983, at
8:30 a.m., to examine the site and existing structure thereon. Mrs. Rome

moved to adjourn the Workshop meeting, Mr. Wernecke, seconded. Mr. Blosser
voted aye, Mr. Wernecke, aye, Mr. Saunders, aye, Mrs. Rome aye and Mr.
Snyder, aye. The workshop meeting was adjourned at 9:50 a.m.
