GOALS AND OBJECTIVES, COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. 41 Acting Chairman Dr. Gilbert P. Weiss called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. advising this was a Public Hearing, with due public notice, called for the purpose of preliminary review and to receive input on the recommendations of the Town of Highland Beach Planning and Zoning Consultants, Gee & Jenson, Architects, Engineers - Planners, Inc., to amend the Comprehensive Plan. Comprehensive Plan goals and objectives, among other items, will be reviewed. The recording secretary called the roll. The agenda is attached. Present: Dr. G. P. Weiss, E. L. Snyder, W. J. Wernecke, I. S. Saunders, Dr. G. C. Linn. Absent: Claude Nastri Dr. Weiss noted that Mr. Ben S. Stephenson, Chairman of the Planning Com- mission had submitted his resignation from the Commission. Mr. Lee Henderson representing Gee & Jenson, presented copies of "ZONING, TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH, FLORIDA", a reprint of Chapter 30,Zoning, of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Highland Beach, Florida, copy attached. Mr. Henderson advised this is the second public hearing held for the examin- ation of the Goals and Objectives, and called upon Planning Commission is members and the audience for comments and discussion. Mrs. Leng, in audience, commented on questionnaire mailed to Town residents recently and indicated her approval of the proposed recommendations for changes. Mrs. Doris Rome questioned the reference to Objectives: on page -2-, of the Preliminary draft of Proposed Comprehensive Plan Goals and Objectives for the Town of Highland Beach, dated March 1982, prepared by Gee & Jenson reading as follows: "I. Regulate future development densities that will ultimately result in any level of service below "C". Discussion of the paragraph followed. Mr. Paul, in audience, inquired as to whether letters and petitions sent by residents to the Town concerning goals and objectives of the Comprehen- sive Plan, are on file with the Town. Dr. Weiss advised they are on file. At the conclusion of the discussion, Mr. Henderson suggested the Public Hearing for discussion of the goals and objectives, having been completed, the hearing be adjourned and the next procedure in the process of revising the Comprehensive Plan be discussed at the regular meeting following the Public Hearing. 40 Page-2- MINUTES: PLANNING COMMISSION/LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY, TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH FLORIDA.
