MINUTES: PLANNING COMMISSION/LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY. REGULAR MEETING.
MARCH 11, 1981. ZONING REVISIONS.
Chairman Johnson called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. The Agenda is
• attached. The recording secretary called the roll.
Present: W. Bonny, E. J. Sullivan, N. M. Johnson, J. M. Farrin,
R. B. Myers, B. S. Stephenson (Alt.) R. K. Wagy (Alt.)
MINUTES
Chairman Johnson noted the first order of business to be approval of
minutes of the meeting held February 25, 1981. Mr. Sullivan moved to accept
the minutes as presented, Adm. Farrin seconded the motion. Mr. Johnson,
Mr. Myers, Mr. Sullivan, Mr. Bonny and Adm. Farrin voted aye for approval.
Chairman Johnson noted there were no applications for Site Plan Review.
Chairman Johnson advised the next order of business to be discussion rel-
ative to obtaining the services of a Planning Consultant. Town Attorney
Thomas E. Sliney noted the need for a Planning Consultant to aid in de-
termining the feasibility of changing the zoning. Members agreed with
suggestion made by Town Manager E. W. Roberts that she contact several
Planning Consultants requesting that proposals be submitted to the Town
for examination by the Planning Commission, at the next Planning Commission
meeting. Consultants contacted will be requested to submit proposals to
the Town for examination by the Planning Commission.
• Following discussion relative to Planning Consultants, Mr. Sullivan moved
that the Town Counsel and Town Manager be authorized to submit proposals
from whomever and whatever number of Planning Consultants they wish to be
interviewed at the next Regular Planning Commission meeting. Mr. Johnson
seconded the motion. Mr. Bonny, Mr. Sullivan, Mr. Johnson, Adm. Farrin
and Mr. Myers voted aye.
Town Attorney Thomas E. Sliney spoke on the possibility of having a Planning
Consultant review Town Ordinance #398, regarding Prohibition of Time -Share
Estates and Time -Share Units.
ZONING
Chairman Johnson noted the next order of business to be review of the
following Sections of Chapter 30, Zoning, tabled at the Planning Commission
meeting held February 25, 1981:
Sec. 4.3(e)(10), Pg.30-10; Sec. 4.4(e)(10), Pg. 30-14;
Sec. 4.5(e)(10), Pg. 30-18.
Following review and discussion of these Sections, members agreed to with-
draw the proposal requiringi, 75% of the parking to be beneath the building.
•It was determined that provision is made for 120 ft. and 130 ft. building
heights in the present Zoning Code.

• Building Official Francis Hamzik noted a TV dish has been installed at
a single family residence on AIA. Mr. Hamzik has advised he will prepare
and submit a recommendation for Code revision at the next Planning Com-
mission meeting.
Plans were presented by Mr. Hamzik, showing proposed changes in plans for
the "Hidden Harbor" project. No action was taken on the proposed plans.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Johnson advised the next acheduled meeting of the Planning Com-
mission to be a Public Hearing to be held on Wednesday, April 8, 1981,
at 10:00 a.m. , Regular Meeting immediately following.
Mr. Sullivan Moved to adjourn the meeting, Adm. Farrin seconded the motion.
Mr. Bonny, Mr. Sullivan, Adm. Farrin, Mr. Myers and Chairman Johnson voted
aye.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
