ZONING, DR. RICHARD ORMAN FEBRUARY 27, 1978.
Chairman Boscove called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m., advising this
was a Public Hearing called for the consideration of the proposed zoning
recommendations for the Town of Highland Beach, for transmittal to the
Town Commission in accordance with Florida State Statutes. The Agenda
is attachment "A". The recording secretary called the .roll.
Present: J. A. Boscove, Adele Allen, R. B. Myers, N. M.
Johnson, J. M. Farrin, 0. Edlund (Alternate).
Chairman Boscove added the proposed densities to the proposed Zoning Map
on display in the Town Hall. General discussion followed relative to the
recommended change in the proposed Comprehensive Plan for the Town of
Highland Beach to include Transient Residential district as presently
written for the Holiday Inn only. This District is presently not included
in the proposed Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Highland Beach.
Mr.

R. Flack, in audience, requested a definition of"lst floor" as used
the proposed zoning ordinance. Chairman Boscove advised the term indicated
first livable floor area.
Following examination of the proposed zoning ordinance, the following re-

At the conclusion of the review of page eleven of the second draft of
the proposed Zoning Ordinance, Chairman Boscove declared the Public
Hearing to be recessed until Monday, March 6, 1978, at 7:00 p.m. at the
Highland Beach Town Hall. At the continuation of this public hearing the
remaining portions of the proposed Zoning Ordinance will be reviewed.
