MINUTES: PLANNING COMMISSION/LOCAL LAND PLANNING AGENCY, FIELD TRIP
JANUARY 5, 1978. ZONING.
iChairman Boscove called the meeting to order at the Highland Beach
Town Hall at 10:00 a.m., advising this wad's a meeting called for the
purpose of making a field trip through the Town of Highland Beach
to observe construction under way. The Agenda is Attachment "A".
Present: J. A. Boscove, N. M. Johnson, J. M. Farrin,
R. B. Myers, A. Allen, O. Edlund (Alternate).
Members of the Planning Commission visited the following sites:
Hyland - 1019 Russell Drive - F-our-plex
Massengill - 1107 Russell Drive - Six-plex
O'Dunne - 4426 Tranquility Drive - Single family
Bedotto - 4308 Tranquility Drive - Single family
Bel Lido Drive - Lot #19 Block 1 and Lot #1 Block 2, Bel Lido.
The observations made during the field trip are noted in attachment
"B", "Planning Commission Field Trip", dated 1/6/78.
Chairman Boscove declared the meeting adjourned at 11:20 a.m.

PLANNING COMMISSION FIELD TRIP
HYLAND Site. 1019 Russell Drive
The area surrounding pool under construction was examined. Setbacks
from pool area to property boundary line on water were noted. The
above ground pool height and raised sides of pool were discussed.
It was determined the four foot wide deck area surrounding pool
did not conform with Code requirements.
Discussion also included depth and location of underground pool
house.
6-Plex - Under construction - 1107 Russell Drive-Massengill L 16/17
Temporary fence surrounding area under construction erected in
conformance with Code, was noted.
O'DUNNE - 1115 Russell Drive. Single Family Lot #15
planning Commission noted the need for a more clearly defined
interpretation of the Code as applied to Fences. Clarify
maximums as apply to required yards (height).
MC COY - 4226 Tranquility Drive. Single Family Lot #4
Questioned badly cracked exterior cement facing on dwelling.
Noted plantings at south westerly boundary. Noted rear
setbacks of patio area on waterfront.
BEDOTTO - 4308 Tranquility Drive. Single Family
Checked balcony overhang, extending beyond property line on water.
Discussed fence heights and advised Owner of Height limitations
on same.
BEL LIDO DRIVE - LOTS #19, BLOCK 1 AND #1, BLOCK 2
Concurred with Building Official relative to proposed recommen-
dation to set side setbacks for above lots..front setbacks
should apply to easterly property line, side setbacks to southerly
and northerly. Rear setbacks to westerly property line of the
properties located on southeastern and northeastern corners.
