MINUTES: LOCAL LAND PLANNING AGENCY/PLANNING COMMISSION - WORKSHOP
MEETING, SEPTEMBER 22, 1976.`
• Chairman Boscove called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m., advising this
was a Workshop Meeting of the Local Land Planning Agency/Planning Commission
for review of the results of the survey sent to all residents of Highland
Beach. The Agenda is attachment "A". The recording secretary called the
roll.
Present - J. A. Boscove, N. M. Johnson, A. Allen,
J. M.Farrin, R. B. Myers, H. Storm, Alternate.
Absent - C. S. Markatos
Mr. James Smoot distributed copies of results of the questionnaire to
members of the Commission, Attachment "B".
A general review of the answers received covered the 36 questions on the
questionnaire and shown on attachment "B". The review included comments
on 4 lanes for AlA (57/ rejected), a discussion of the proposed 12th St.
bridge in Delray, parking spaces required for residents and guests in
condominiums, the opinion of residents in regard to appearance of motels
in Town.
At the conclusion of the discussion, Mr. Smoot advised he would distribute
• a list of goals and objectives at the next meeting. A plan with appendices
is to be submitted to the Planning Commission. Mr. Smoot recommended public
notice of all meetings held relating to the proposed Land Use Plan for
Highland Beach. Dates of meetings to be held will be determined at the
next regular meeting.
The next Regular Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 1976 at
7:30 p.m.
The Regular Meeting for November will be held Wednesday, November 17, 1976,
at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Roberts, in audience, read a letter from the Department of Community
Affairs regarding a Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act Workshop
to be held October 28, 1976, in West Palm Beach, Attachment "C".
Mr. N. M. Johnson offered the motion to adjour, Admiral Farrin seconded
the motion. The Workshop Meeting was adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
