MINUTES: LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY/PLANNING COMMISSION - WORKSHOP MEETING - JULY 20 1976

Chairman Boscove called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. advising this was.a Workshop
is "A".
of the Local Planning Agency/Planning Commission. The Agenda is attachment
"A". The recording secretary called the roll.
Present: J. A. Boscove, N. M. Johnson, A. Allen, J. M.
Farrin.
Absent: R. B. Myers
Mr. John P. O'Grady, Building Official, in audience, discussed present and proposed
construction in Highland Beach, including Regency Highland R.P.U.D., Boca Hi R.P.U.D.,
(scheduled to begin in 1976); Boca Cove, completing final units; and proposed con-
struction on Town lot #109.
Following Mr. O'Grady's remarks, Chairman Boscove introduced Mr. James Smoot. Mr.
Smoot discussed the questionnaire developed by Mr. Smoot and Mrs. E. W. Roberts.
Examination of the questionnaire covered various areas including recreation for
Townspeople, commercial services, community appearance, public transportation, and
access to public beach.
Further discussion of the development of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan ensued.
Mr. Smoot advised a preliminary draft will be made available to the Planning Com-
mission and Town Commission in the event he is under contract to perform the nec-
essary work involved.
A Special Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 27, 1976, at 7:30 p.m., for fur-
ther consideration and discussion of retainer and other fees as presented by Mr. Smoot
• for submission to the Highland Beach Town Commission, prior to approval of a contract.
Vice Chairman Johnson offered the motion to adjourn. Mrs. Allen seconded the motion.
The Workshop Meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
