• Chairman Boscove called the Meeting to order at 7:30 P.M., advising this was a Regular
Meeting of the Planning Commission. The Agenda is Attachment "A". The secretary
called the roll.
Present: J. A. Boscove, N.M. Johnson, A. Allen, R. B.
Myers, J. M. Farrin, F. M. Johnson (Alternate).
Absent: E. A. Potere (Alternate).
MINUTES
Chairman Boscove advised the first order of business to be approval of the minutes
of the meeting of March 9, 1976. Minutes having been previously examined, reading
thereof was waived. Mrs. Allen offered the motion to approve the minutes as presented.
Adm. Farrin seconded the motion. The minutes were unanimously approved.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Chairman Boscove advised the Commission that the planned agenda was temporarily sus-
pended. A review of the Comprehensive Plan was in order in accordance with comments
included with letter received from Helge Swanson, Chief, Bureau of Comprehensive
Planning, Division of State Planning, dated March 11, 1976, Attachment "B".
• Mr. Sliney, Town Attorney discussed the letter received, Attachment "B", and re-
commended obtaining the services of a qualified Planning and Zoning Consultant.
Discussion which followed relative to the contents of Mr. Swanson's letter in-
cluded the possibility of obtaining additional funds thru revenue sharing.
Mr. John P. O'Grady, Col. F. M. Johnson, and Mr. Michael Dent in audience joined
the continued discussion covering the remaining elements required by Chapter 75-257.
Mr. Sliney's recommendations for restructuring the Comprehensive Plan were noted.
Mr. N. M. Johnson and Mr. R. B. Myers discussed with members of the Commission the
possible need for consideration of commercial and service areas in Highland Beach;
public access to ocean beaches; protection of the dunes and the setting aside of
land area for parks. A Workshop Meeting to continue discussion of the additional
elements to be included in the Comprehensive Plan will be held on Thursday, May 6,
1976, at 7:30 P.M.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. O'Grady noted that Architects T.;vitty and Schwab have indicated a possibility of
submitting revised plans for additional construction at Boca Hi. These plans for
a structure adjacent to Aberdeen Arms would show a modification of previous plans.
A report on bonus figures was presented by the Building Official. At the Commission's
request Mr. O'Grady will provide statistics on an additional parcel at the next
meeting of the Planning Commission.

Admiral Farrin offered the motion to adjourn the Regular Meeting. Mrs. Allen seconded.
All members having voted Aye, the Regular Meeting was adjourned at 9:40 P.M.
A Workshop Meeting will be held Thursday, May 6, 1976, for further discussion and re-
view of the Comprehensive Plan. The next Regular Meeting of the Planning Commission
will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 1976, at 7:30 P.M. n
