Johnson called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M. in the absence of Chairman Boscove, advising this was a regular meeting of the Planning Commission. The secretary called the roll. Present: N. M. Johnson, Adele Allen, R. B. Myers, J. M. Farrin, F. M. Johnson (Alternate). Absent: J. A. Boscove, E. A. Potere (Alternate). MINUTES Acting Chairman Johnson advised the first order of business to be approval of the minutes of the following meetings: Public Hearing - January 13, 1976 Regular Meeting - January 13, 1976 Minutes having been previously examined, reading thereof was waived. Adm, Farrin moved that the minutes of the Public Hearing be accepted as presented. Mr. Myers seconded the motion. Mr. Johnson, Mr. Myers, Mrs. Allen and Adm. Farrin voted aye for acceptance. Mr. Myers moved to accept the minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 13, 1976, Adm. Farrin seconded. Mr. Johnson, Mr. Myers, Mrs. Allen and Adm. Farrin voted aye for acceptance. The minutes of the Public Hearing and the Regular Meeting, held on January 13, 1976, were accepted as presented. • COMMITTEE REPORTS • Mr. Myers - No report. Adm. Farrin - No report. Mr. N. M. Johnson presented statistical data compiled on zoning and densities in Highland Beach. Mr. Johnson's report included information relative to areas to be rezoned, with changes in LUI designations, and including number of acres, present number of units, population, potential units, potential population, proposed number of units and amounts of reduction in units. Following his reading of the report and general discussion thereof, Mr. Johnson read from a summary of the report. Mr. Johnson noted the proposed changes would have little effect on overall densities. The general discussion included possible further reductions in density. NEW BUSINESS Mr. Johnson advised that zoning changes were proposed at the January 13, 1976, meeting. Following a general discussion of the zoning changes under consideration, it was the consensus that the issue of formal approval of the recommended zoning changes be placed on the agenda for the next regular Planning Commission meeting. UNFINISHED BUSINESS The matter of zoning changes will be taken under consideration at the next regular meet- ing of the Planning Commission for formal action and referral to the Town Commission.
