MINUTES: PLANNING COMMISSION - WORKSHOP REGULAR MEETING - JUNE 10, 1975
• Chairman Boscove called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M., advising this
was a Workshop Meeting of the Planning Commission preceding the Regular
Meeting, held for discussion of proposed changes in the Comprehensive
Plan. The Secretary called the roll. The Agenda is Attachment "A".
Present: J. A. Boscove, E. A. Potere, R. B. Myers,
A. Allen (Alternate).
Absent: N. M. Johnson, Adm. J. Farrin, J. Schober (Alternate)
Mr. N. M. Johnson's absence precluded presentation of his report on
suggested changes in the Comprehensive Plan and current and potential
population figures for Highland Beach. Mr. Potere offered the motion
to adjourn the Workshop Meeting, Mr. Myers seconded the motion. Adjourn-
ment was had at 7:45 P.M.
REGULAR MEETING
Chairman Boscove called the Regular Meeting to order at 7:46 P.M. The
Secretary called the roll -

In audience were Col. Fran Johnson and Mr. Peter Genovese.
MINUTES
Minutes of the following meeting having been previously examined,
reading thereof was waived -
Workshop/Regular Meeting - May 20, 1975
Minutes of the Public Hearing held on May 27, 1975, (Letters of Intent,
R.P.U.D. and Sewer Franchise) having been previously examined, reading
thereof was waived. Mr. Potere offered the motion to approve the minutes
as presented, Mrs. Allen seconded the motion, the vote for acceptance
was unanimous.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Is Mr. Myers reported on his attendance at the C.A.B. meeting on May 29,
1975, and advised he will attend future C.A.B. meetings and present
reports.

NEW BUSINESS
Chairman Boscove read a letter from Mr. L. Y.Horton, Chairman of the
Board of Adjustment relative to consideration of change in Chapter 30 of
the Code of Ordinances, setting requirements for dual level structures in
Highland Beach. Discussion followed. (Attachment "B").
OLD BUSINESS
Mr. Boscove presented the letter dated April 1, 1975, from Mr. L.Y. Horton
discussed at the Meeting of May 20, 1975. Following discussion, Mr. Potere
offered the motion that a letter be written to Mr. Horton to the effect
that the Planning Commission had no objection to the proposed change in
Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances, Section 9.2.(b), i.e., "Notice shall
be given at least (15) days in advance of public hearings."Attachment "C".
MISCELLANEOUS
Mr. Peter Genovese, in audience, spoke on the subject of the petitioner's
notification of all property owners within 300 feet, as required in the
Code of Ordinances on petitions to the Board of Adjustment. The discussion
• included the matter of formal notification of property owners in the vi-
cinity of any proposed changes, prior to meetings held concerning such
action.
Relative to the traffic problem, it was the consensus of the Commission
that the matter of Mr. Sliney's recommendation that a letter be written
to the Town Commission relative to the costs of an impact study,be held
in abeyance temporarily.
A motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Myers, Mrs. Allen seconded the motion.
Adjournment was had at 8:35 P.M.
