1974.07.22_PB_Minutes_RegularI MINUTES: PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING ON COMPREHENSIVE PLAN - JULY 22, 1974. • The Meeting was called to order at 3:30 P.M. by Chairman Kemery. Present were: Chairman Kemery, Secretary Wilcox, Messrs. Johnson and Boscove and Dr. Guelzow. Chairman Kemery requested a reading in its entirety, of the revised Comprehensive Plan for Highland Beach, Florida. Following the reading of Part II of the Plan, Chairman Kemery asked for comments or questions from the members of the Commission, Mayor Gilday, Mr. Sliney or the members of the audience. There were none. Relative to a change in Height Limitations East of A-1-A, following a discussion of the provision that no building shall be higher than 100 feet, opinions were heard from Mr. Sliney, Chairman Kemery and Dr. Guelzow. The consensus was that the insertion remain as read. The reading continued, covering Land Use Intensity (LUI). Mr. Boscove questioned the insertion on Page 25, "subject to the height limitation of 100 feet." Discussion followed. Mr. Boscove advised that density ranges as written in Paragraph four (4), page 31, be corrected to read • 'four nominal density ranges, at 20, 30, 35, and 40 dwelling units per net acre", as written in the original Plan submitted. At Ms. Roberts question relative to the Basic Density Units per Acre, Mr. Boscove stated the figure to be inserted would be submitted at a later date for inclusion in Table 7. Chairman Kemery initiated a discussion of information relative to LUI ratings as written in the Plan. It was the consensus of the Commission to omit Paragraphs two (2) through eight (8) on Pages 35 and 36. In addition, paragraphs two (2) and three (3) of page 37 were deleted. Insertion of LUI tables was recommended by Mr. Boscove. At the request of Mr. Johnson and Secretary Wilcox, for further dis- cussion on changes made, Mr. Sliney suggested recessing this Public Hearing. 0 ATTACHMENT "A" Page -2- MINUTES: PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING ON COMPREHENSIVE PLAN - JULY 22, 1974. Mr. Boscove moved to accept the Comprehensive Plan as read. Chairman Kemery seconded. The motion failed for a lack of majority vote. The motion was made by Mr. Boscove to recess this Public Hearing until Thursday, July 25, 1974 at 2:00 P.M., seconded by Secretary Wilcox, and approved by members of the Commission.
