1974.02.07_PB_Minutes_WorkshopMINUTES: PLANNING BOARD -- WORKSHOP MEETING -- February 7, 1974 • The Workshop meeting of the Planning Board was called to order at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 1974 by Chairman Kemery. In attendance were; Chairman Kemery, Dr. Guelzow, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Wilcox, Mr. Boscove, Mr. Schober and Mr. Vern Foster, Zoning Official. Also in attendance were Mr. Martin, Mr. West, Architect, and Mr. Isenhour, members of the Oliver -Hoffman Corporation. This meeting was called for the reviewing of the application of Oliver -Hoffman Corporation for a RPUD on tract 56 of Highland Beach. The members of the Board agreed to dispense reading of the minutes of January 24, 1974. Mr. Douglas Martin, an officer of Oliver -Hoffmann Corporation was here in the absence of Mr. Hoffmann, who was unable to attend and sent his regrets. He stated that on June 30, 1973 they filed an application with a preliminary site plan for this RPUD. Mr. Foster referred this to the Planning Board. In September it was suggested that the total units be reduced from 275 to 235 and on December 5th they presented in accordance with this request, a revised plan not with 235 but 224 apartment units in the project which constitutes a reduction of what was requested. A presentation was available for the Board to see. Discussion followed. • Mr. West the Architect gave a statement of the dimensions of the project. Project Data and Building Data are attached and made part of the minutes. Prolonged discussion followed. Mr. Boscove suggested that he would like expert advise before he makes any decision and would like to refer this to a Land Planner, "Beasley" or "Smoot" and get their opinion. Mr. Boscove made a motion, seconded by Dr. Guelzow to hire a Land Planner, "Beasley" or Smoot." Motion was carried unanimously. Mr. Isenhour gave a statement on the Landscaping. Discussion followed. Mr. Martin asked to meet with the Community Appearance Board as soon after the Planning Board has had a report from the Land Planners.
